Dubai: Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah Unveils Layalina Majlis for Ramadan on West Beach
Open-air setting overlooking the Arabian Gulf
DUBAI – Marriott Resort Palm Jumeirah, Dubai has announced the launch of Layalina Majlis, a purpose-built open-air Ramadan destination set along West Beach.
Presented by Capital.com, the seasonal venue introduces a bespoke Majlis experience overlooking the Arabian Gulf. Designed exclusively for the Holy Month, it is positioned as the only purpose-built Majlis of its kind on West Beach, combining waterfront views with traditional hospitality.
Set directly on the shoreline, Layalina Majlis welcomes guests daily throughout Ramadan for both Iftar and Suhoor. The venue has been created as a dedicated space, with a custom-built entrance leading into a softly illuminated Majlis framed by tented structures, flowing fabrics and natural textures.
Communal tables, low lounge seating and high dining arrangements shape a setting intended to accommodate both intimate gatherings and larger groups.
Iftar experience
Iftar is served daily from sunset until 8.30pm. Prices are set at Dh295 per adult on weekdays and Dh325 per adult on weekends. The buffet features a curated selection of Middle Eastern and international dishes, presented in an open-air setting overlooking the Arabian Gulf.
Children aged six to 18 dine for Dh145 on weekdays and Dh155 on weekends. For children aged between two and six, the price is Dh95, while those under two dine free of charge.
With a total capacity of up to 220 guests, the Majlis is designed to feel spacious yet connected.
Four private Majlis-style areas are available for VIP reservations and group bookings, offering a more secluded setting within the wider venue.
Suhoor nights
As the evening progresses, Layalina Majlis transitions into a Suhoor destination. Suhoor is served from 9.30pm to 1.00am on weekdays and extends until 2.00am on weekends. Guests can choose between à la carte and set menu options.
Shisha is available exclusively during Suhoor hours, with prices starting from Dh125. The later timings and varied seating arrangements create a more social atmosphere, while maintaining the traditional elements of a Ramadan gathering.
Live entertainment
Live performances accompany both Iftar and Suhoor services throughout the season. The programme includes Arabic vocalists, oud players and traditional instrumental music, adding a cultural dimension to the dining experience without overshadowing the spirit of the month.
